O.K. Stupid question time. Last night I watched ‘Ghost Dog’. Do they really have devices that start (apparently) any kind of car like that? And where would you get one? Err…just wondering…
I believe Ghost Dog made it himself.
SO you are outta luck, my friend, unless you want to beholden yourself to a master, study the art of Ninjitsu, and become a pigeon-weilding assassin.
or get a degree in electronics.
btw, I loved the scene where he shot the fellow through the sink drain. INGENIOUS!
jb, long time- no talk to.
I guess my OP should have been would it be possible to build a device like this? Is it theorically possibly?
I loved that scene, too. What was the deal with the boat on the roof though?
And by the way, I be holdin’ myself all the time.
uh, I would guess that yeah, you could build something like that if you set your mind to it. You’d need something that could both broadcast on a range of frequency and receive, doing multiple broadcasts and receipts at the same time.
you’d also need to give yourself a lot of background in both car manufacturer alarm systems and cryptology (a bit of soldering class wouldn’t hurt, either). The device would spurt a bunch of transmissions out which various cars would recognize, and check to see if it gets a response, and then go up or down the spectrum simultaneously spurting and checking. As soon as it got some sort of response, either an active reaction of the alarm system or a passive resonance in the system’s receiver, the black box could get down and dirty.
good luck, and see if you can’t get me a Beamer. Or two.
