So, does this mean no quatloo betting?
No, it looks like Quatloos are fine. If it is a bet for nothing, it is allowed.
Zero quatloos that @What_Exit will have to answer this question again in this thread.
Quatloos-How quaint.
When you are ready for some real gambling, come over here to the Gold pressed latinum table.
I brook no truck with that Ferengi nonsense. Gold pressed latinum, bah. Nothing beats a Quatloo standard.
What’s the line… “We can’t wager for trifles like quatloos! The stakes must be higher.”

Do not crucify mankind upon this cross of Quatloos!
Okay, let’s do all our SDMB wagers with Rasbuckniks.
Definition of Rasbucknik
Currency of Lower Slobbovia, as depicted in the late lamented Li’l Abner comics, worth exactly nothing.
Republic credits will be fine. (hand wave)
Honest question: About a year ago, I hosted a contest, with the winner(s) being awarded some foodstuffs. Grand Prize was a bag of Cheetos with a jar of New Mexico green chile. Runner Up was a bag of Cheetos. I physically mailed both winners their prizes, and they were recieved.
It was a tangible prize. Is this still permissible under the new rules?
Tripler
Honest question.
It wasn’t a bet, though, was it? Those who participated didn’t have to pay anything if they lost.
Maybe you should ask Discobot.
That’s correct, it was a “no cost” raffle, with tasty, snacky proceeds donated by yours truly. Point taken.
@discobot What are the legal ramifications for TPTB of hosting no-cost raffles with donated prizes, over the banning date of trolls on the SDMB?
@discobot roll 2d6
Tripler
Last one added in for good measure.
When the Republic has crumbled and burned, and its cold, dead ashes are entropically dispersed, the Quatloo will remain.
