It even tosses around the idea that he was doing his patriotic duty.

The Warren Commission Report makes no such claim about Ruby. To the contrary, the report states:

The Commission’s desire not to interfere in the pending proceedings involving Ruby necessarily limits the scope of this appendix, which does not purport to discuss the legal issues raised during Ruby’s trial or his possible motive for shooting Oswald.

No mention of his ties with Nixon… guess I’m the only one who finds that disturbing. Forget the fact that Nixon was in Dallas the day JFK was killed and later said he couldn’t remember where he was that day.

False. On p. 252 of his autobiography RN: The Memoirs of Richard Nixon, he wrote how he had flown to Dallas on November 20 for a board meeting of the Pepsi-Cola Company, one of his law firm’s clients.

Early on the morning of November 22 on the way to the Dallas airport, I saw the flags displayed along the motorcarde route for the presidential visit. Arriving in New York, I hailed a cab home. We drove through Queens toward the 59th Street Bridge, and as we stopped at a traffic light, a man rushed over from the curb and started talking to the driver. “Do you have a radio in your cab? I just heard that Kennedy was shot.”

No mention of GHWB and his role. Nor the fact that he claimed he didn’t work for the CIA and could not recall where he was the day Kennedy was killed. Still doesn’t AFAIK.

Please supply a direct quote from George Bush saying that he does not remember where he was on that day.

First thing Nixon did when he became president. He pardoned Hoffa. Jack Ruby’s old buddy.

Nixon became president in 1969; he did not pardon Hoffa until almost three years later. Please supply any credible evidence that Hoffa knew Jack Ruby.

sneeze, the planned route was changed a few days before the visit, when TCU cancelled their planned event. The original plan was to not even go through downtown. Once that was cancelled, Kennedy’s staff picked a downtown parade-style event on his way to the trade mart. The only way to get to the trade mart from the west side of downtown is to take the path his limousine took - if they had gone straight on Main (the middle street of the triple underpass), there’s no way to get on northbound Stemmons freeway. The idea that it was changed at the last minute to Elm street was one of Garrison’s delusions, which Stone regurgitated in his movie.

t-keela, you have a cite that Ruby worked for Nixon? I don’t believe it. I also don’t believe he was arrested for the murder of a Teamster president.
