I wouldn’t even consider myself a bigot, but it depends on one’s definition.However, I think people do like to think thier group is better than others whether we’re talking about our race, nationality, what state one is from, or even “our high school students are better than yours”. It’s not Racist (capital R) but it is racist (little r). You are judging an individual based on stereotypical behavior of a given group. Does it make you Hitler or Pat Buchannan? Probably not. But it does become an issue when it becomes “I wont hire a Chineese driver because Chineese people drive bad”.
Does every one do it? Sure. That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t try to be aware of when you are doing it.

Why do you suppose most blacks are lazy? Do you think it’s genetic? Cultural? If genetic, then there’s probably nothing we can do about it. If cultural, any recommendation about how to change that culture?
Any idea about blacks living in Africa? Do you think they are as lazy as the ones living in the US? Again, just looking at ways to figure out where the laziness comes from.

I don’t know if I’m right about this John Mace, but I think it’s mostly cultural. I know one thing I’m certain of that is cultural among many black areas in the U.S. is doing poorly in school. Many young blacks think it “isn’t cool” or think you’re being an Uncle Tom if you get good grades. Unfortunately, parents don’t do enough to encourage good grades or discourage bad grades. In schools in Manhattan, many people think the answer is more money for education. However, statistics show that most young Asians are excelling in the same schools. Of course it was very un-P.C. for anyone to point this out, so no mind is payed to it. Asian households are very conducive to children getting good grades in the same neighborhoods.
How does one change the culture? I think it’s up to responsible black adults to admit there is a difference between us and not just call any one who points out the differences a racist.
