Whenever I go out of town I always pack disposable razors. They work good enough and their cheap.
Anyway, I’m trying to find the difference between the regular BIC razor and the Bic Sensitive razor.
Other than a different colored handle I can find no difference. There is no lube strip or anything like that. The blade seems set in the same position. So, is this just a scam or is there aomething different I can’t see. WTH?
By the way, I personally find that after shaving with a disposabe I look like an extra from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I highly recommend a Mach III… all you need to do is rob a bank to pay for the blades.
Nah. I’ve tried every disposable there is and find the Bics tolorable. I prefer the single blade because it doesn’t get as gunked up with my heavy beard, is easier to clean, and shaves just as close as a double blade. I found the bonus bags (12 + 12 free) at the 99cent store. I use them when I’m away on business. They’re so cheap I can use them once and toss it!
I used to shave with a Trac 2 using the Schick blades with the push button cleaner, but they found out I liked them and stopped making them. I use a regular single blade razor at home using those schick 2 sided single blades.$1.49 for 10 two sided blades. I just don’t want to drag my good British razor handle with me when I travel (might lose it).
Anyway, I bought 2 packs of Bics, the regular and the sensitive. Other than the color of the handle I honestly cannot tell the difference. What, did the move the blade back a millionth of an inch back and consider that progress?
I suspect that there is a difference in the angle and/or position of the blade (I can certainly feel the difference between regular and sensitive razors of the same type), but it’s probably too small a difference to be easily seen by the naked eye - small adjustments can have large effects…
i would go for the mach III
and use king of shaves
nothing will stick to the blades and its the smoothest shave i’ve had
some oils are good but create gung
foams are useless.
Have you ever gotten a free sample of the ‘next revolution in razors’?
Tried it, and swore it gave you the BEST shave ever?
Ran to the store and paid an outrageous price for the new razor. Picked up a dozen replacement blades?
…And then…not one of the replacement blades ever comes close to shaving you like that sample did?
Hmmm…where am I going here…
I use BIC sensitive too, and if I use the regular I’ll cut my face more.
Ninety-nine cents (sometimes less) for 24. That’s two years supply, at least.
There is a lot of mystique imbedded in mens’ shaving rituals. So maybe it’s all in my head.
Peace,
