Yes. All my kids had/have guns. Did hunter safety and plenty of practice with Dad…adult supervised at all times.
The girls don’t hunt…well, one does occasionally.
Son-of-a-wrek hunts …he was also a Marine. Sniper trained. I still remind him of things when he’s armed and going out to hunt.
He patiently listens. I think.
The trick is adult supervision. People who give guns to kids(kids who may be mentally disturbed, especially) without it are putting themselves in the hot seat. As we’ve seen in the news lately.
From a purely political point of view I think this is really good for Biden. Any gun nut who would be turned off by this enough to vote against him probably wasn’t ever going to vote for a Democrat anyway. Moderates by and large are in favor of such common sense gun regulations, and it gives him something to show progressives who are complaining that nothing is being done to control guns.
we’ve had a similar law here in Oregon for a few years now. It’s been an inconvenience for legitimate gun owners, and FFL holders sometimes charge unnecessarily high ‘transfer fees’, but we can live with it.
I was sorry to read what the NRA had to say about it. A lot of us thought that getting rid of La Pierre and his cronies would result in the NRA cleaning up their act, at least somewhat. I guess not.

Yes, like in CA. But the reasonable part about the new Regulation is that a legit gun owner can sell a couple of guns private party. Just so long as they dont make a business of it.
