You can’t watch the video and not see that he has aged. He’s moving slowly and didn’t appear to be aware of the proceedings. Not only did he wander off but the other leaders had to reposition themselves to put him back in the center of the group for the photo op.

In brief: While in France recently for the 80th Anniversary of D-Day remembrance ceremonies, Biden did not try to sit in an imaginary chair. The chair was there – careful use of camera placement was used to imply otherwise. Also while in France, Biden did not hesitate to sit down because he soiled himself.
