Ad breaks?
Yep. First time for that.
Yes, ad breaks. Though I suppose they’re really there to give the debaters a little break, a few minutes to sit down, for example.
What does a spot at a presidential debate get/min.? Wow
Maybe it will be station ID breaks/network promos
I was in awe of Biden at the State of the Union in terms of his stamina to stand for a really long period of time. There was the saunter up to the podium, then roughly an hour and a half of speechifying, then another hour-ish of kibbitzing with members of Congress as he made his way out of the chamber.
Didn’t even phase him.
Yes, I recall the State of the Union, and how Biden went on for about 90 minutes, on his feet the whole time. Then meeting and greeting with members of Congress.
Maybe the ad breaks are there so Trump can sit down for a bit?
I think Trump is running an ad. Not sure which station/platform.
Link to The Hill article about it
Probably.
But it’s Biden that’s feeble.
FYI: CNN will have live updates of the debate on their website:
I’ve got CNN on, and a lot of the usual commercial breaks (so far) have had political ads in them. For Biden and for Trump. So likely Trump’s ads will be playing wherever he could buy ad space.
Showtime is now, so I’d just like to take a victory lap on being right about the “Trump won’t show up” claims.
Awright. Popcorn popped and beer chilled. Watching CNN. Let’s go!
Biden is in remarkably good shape for his age. He rides bicycles and has brushed off a few falls.
I think that the whole reason Biden agreed to debate trump was to undermine all of the malarkey about his senility.
Biden is going to do well.
(He says hopefully as his heart starts to race…)
Here we go!
Jake’s got two cups of coffee. Or something.
This is exciting!
I’m watching on PBS; so far, the only annoying ad I’ve seen is from DHHS on aging.
Convict Donald looks like he’d rather be anywhere else.
No hand shake. I wonder if that was a rule?
Biden sounds a little hoarse.
