Buh-uhtt, you could get a Barrett Model 99 capable of blowing a three inch hole in a man-hole cover from a 1000 meters for under 3 grand. Go figure.
((((((please, please, please, can I get one!!!)))))
Yes, BF, but there’s no class in a $2-a-shot .50 cal! Besides, you really want the Barrett model 82 semiauto, msrp $6000.
And there’s something to be said for a round (.700 Nitro) that’ll lift a full-grown bull elephant’s front feet off the ground…
The .700 has something like 150 lb-ft recoil in a 30-lb rifle, BTW. Not for the weak-shouldered. Or people like me that only weigh 150 lb…
BTW, if you do get a double, get the optional ejectors instead of extractors. The difference: Extractors push the empties up so you can grab them; Ejectors throw them over your shoulder–definitely better in high-stress/low-time situations (i.e., you somehow manage 2 nonfatal shots in a row, and the critter’s coming toward you…and he’s angry.)
In answer to your question, though,
…Oh, wait. You don’t have a question. Never mind.
