You can find a short description here. Said to be the same as firing 10 .30-06’s simultaneously - and from the looks on some of these guys faces, you can believe it.
It’s big for the sake of being big. It’s useless, extraordinarily expensive, and requires NFA rigamarole just to own it, assuming you wanted it.
Yet I’d still fire it if it were offered to me. I know I would. And then I’d walk away shaking my head at the silliness of it all. Some things are just too absurd for words. A shoulder-fired artillery piece qualifies.
First link didn’t work for me. Watched the video. What the hell do you shoot with that thing? Tanks?
I screwed it up and then fixed it. Mouse over the link and see if the prefix has ‘straightdope.com’ in it. If so, refresh since that is the old link. It should work now.
Just to be safe, here is the raw link - Check Out the Largest Caliber Rifle Ever Produced - Business Insider
Why Santana? They needed Jerry Lee’s Great Balls of Fire goin’ in the background. I think I’d want to sight that thing in as expeditiously as possible.
John Connor’s secret weapon against The Cyberdyne Systems Model 101 Series 800 Terminator.
I prefer the .906 KS-23: a shotgun with a rifled barrel, built using sawn-off anti aircraft gun barrels.
Very interesting link. And from the chart linked on that page, it looks like this gun really could kill a WWII era tank.
This one was fairly badass, if it comes to that. Semi-automatic, you could get off a shot every other second.
Yeah…and if you take out a second mortgage, you could probably shoot it for a half hour or so.
Reloading is the only way to go. I’m not sure where you’d find a press and die for that cartridge.
Inspector Callahan and I would like to find pistols in that caliber.

…make my decade!
Oh my - perfect application. I really like that series too (probably shouldn’t admit that)
