Didn’t the guys who filmed the original Bigfoot finally admit it was a hoax? One of them died and the other guy was close behind and decided to 'fess up before he died.
Seems to me if the first ever sighting was a hoax, then any coming after must be too.

Bigfoot is all about spooky stories around the campfire. He’s worth keeping around just for that. Every time a bear wanders around you at night and you run away it Must have been a bigfoot, I mean a bear would have chased you, right?
Well. . . . I don’t think anyone has ever explained the fact that the famous Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot has a shin rise angle in a natural gait that is 21º higher than every single person on the planet. See!

Roger Patterson died in 1972, but Bob Gimlin is still alive. Neither man has ever admitted to taking part in a hoax. However, Bob Hieronimus claims to have been the man in the Bigfoot suit and his story is believed to be plausible.
