Local mogul Jerry Speyer has secured $5.4 billion to purchase Stuyvessant Town and Peter Cooper Village (two ginourmous apartment complexes in Manhattan comprising more than a hundred buildings and housing 25,000 people.)
It’s the largest private real estate deal in the history of the US.
