Is the continuing sarcasm directed towards me or Bijou Drains? Yes, it’s a different end of the car, but the OP is aware that front pads did most of the braking in his older vehicles and he still got much less wear on them in the same amount of miles. That’s why his statement is relevant.
Even those of us that don’t know as much of the workings of a car as you realize the different type of braking system will make a difference and brake pad/shoe life will vary from car to car. However, we (at least I) wouldn’t expect the brakes of a new car to have to be replaced after 21k miles. I’d be a little pissed myself.
It doesn’t matter that you could have been a bigger dick if you chose to. What matters is that you came off hostile to a pissed off customer ranting on the internet and attempting to affirm if his notion that his brakes should last longer than they did is correct, and when you managed to get a rise out of him, you felt the need to take it to this forum and hope for a pile on.
