Bill Clinton as advisor to Bush

Told ya my brain works wierd.

So how about it? What if Clinton took over for Rove? Ole Bill had it in the bag when it came to getting elected. I never voted for him, and have some “issues” with how he ran the Oval Orifice (sorry, had to  ) But I never saw him as the devil. Even taking in the al-Queda aftermath. He was servicable. (as were his interns) OK, had to get that in, too.

So what would Clinton tell Bush in the next coming weeks.

(Dude, resign) is already taken. NEXT!

Are your daughters free this weekend?

ok, ok. He’d probably advise an “I feel your pain” media blitz. Put on sad little basset-hound face and tell people he understands everything they’re suffering through (be sure not to imply that the current administration might bear some connection with that suffering, though), and that he shares that pain and wants to do everything he can to lift the burden from their shoulders. And if we take this opportunity as Americans to come together as a family and so on and so forth. You know, all warm and fuzzy-like.

I think someone is being pitted here, though I’m not sure if it’s Rove, Bush, Clinton or some combination of the three.

Moving this to The BBQ Pit. I’ll leave it to someone else to inform The usual parties so that the appropriate Pit thread about my incompetence can be started.

Now, now, I may have started off with a wisecrack but my response was a sincere one.

Is this on the grounds that any thread mentioning Bush, Clinton and Rove is going to upset everyone, one way or another?

Can I just mention Hitler, Stalin and R.M. Nixon to send it straight to nethermost depths of the pit?

Hitler, Stalin, Nixon? Why bother, we’ve already been talking about Karl Rove.

(Ha! I kill me!)

I agree that a “lip-biting” run might work. I suspect Mr. Clinton would also advise playing up the temporary nature of our presence in Iraq in terms of getting our trrops back and our focus back on domestic issues. Hitting hard on the peace and prosperity issues and all that. I don’t think he’s been gettign that message across.

But would Bush even listen to any advice he gets from Clinton? Bush got whupped like a dog these last few weeks, and his nature is to respond by going negative (I predict the Bush-Cheney camp will be all-negative, all the time from now until election day). Any advice from Clinton that doesn’t include “destroy your opponent” will fall on deaf ears.
