Billy Joel/Elton John concert at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland

I’m coming in from Pittsburgh, should the drive take any longer than the suggested 2 1/2 hours by google maps? How bad is the traffic getting to the Arena (I’d be coming in 77N). Also, how’s the parking situation at the Arena? I assume they aren’t filling it to capacity as they would a basketball game.

Also, any decent food that’s close by? Under $10 a plate, of course

I would park at Tower City, which will have signs to guide you up through Tower City itself and into the “Walkway to Gateway” which connects it to Quicken (called “Gund Arena” on all the mappage) and the Indians’ stadium.

On your way through Tower City you’ll pass a food court, or you can eat at one of the restaurants like the Hard Rock Cafe.

2.5 hours should be fine from Pburg - it’s all freeway. But give yourself about an hour to eat and walk.

2 1/2 hours Pittsburgh to Cleveland sounds about right. There’s parking at Tower City Center, but I’m not sure that there’s really enough of it-- Better, if you can manage it, would be to find parking near a rapid station, and take the train downtown (though probably most locals going to the concert will already be doing this, so there might be enough space in the lot).

Either way, parking or taking the train, you’ll be passing through Tower City to get there, and there’s probably some good food options there, but I haven’t been there in over a decade, so I couldn’t say more specifically.

Lots of cheap food options in Tower City.

I’m posting for the sole purpose of saying I think it’s scandalous that they’re not coming to NYC. That is all.

Enjoy the show. :stuck_out_tongue:

Actually, we ended up eating on the way because the PA turnpike had some terrible accident, so they rerouted traffic for miles and miles, which caused some congestion and more confusion. Parking was surprisingly cheap, $5 about 7 blocks away, and got more expensive as we neared the Arena. I guess a lot of people must have done the rapid thing Chronos, because the lots nearby seemed not quite full.

And DooWahDiddy, their concert city choices seem strange. But yes you should be upset - the show was downright amazing. Boyfriend and I seemed to be the only people there not yet AARP eligible :stuck_out_tongue:
