Billy Ocean's "Caribbean Queen" and "European Queen"

I think most Westerners are more familiar with “Caribbean Queen” but my dad still calls it “European Queen” (he has it on tape). The biggest difference I noticed was the (better) guitar break in CQ.

Does anyone know why there were two versions of this song? Also, where was each version released?

I also just remembered that the vocals on CQ and EQ are slightly different too, like they were recorded separately (and not just the choruses). I wonder if “African Queen” was rerecorded as well.
