Singer Billy Paul, probably best known for the song Me And Mrs Jones, has passed away. 2016 is proving to be a difficult year.

Anyone checked on the whereabouts of Mr. Jones?
Back in my old neighborhood, there used to be a pornography theater called the Olympia on Steinway Street. For several years running, “The Devil in Miss Jones” was on the marquee, and every time my family drove by in the car, my little brother would start singing soulfully, “Meeeeeeee aaaaaand Mrs. Jones, Mrs Jones, Mrs Jones, Mrs Jones, Mrs. Jooooooones…”
There aren’t too many songs that give me the “special nether feelings,” but “…Mrs. Jones” is at the top of the list.
The Grim Reaper has a real hardon for artists this year. Wonder who’s next?
I’ve taken to referring to 2016 as “The year the music died”.
