ThisYearsGirl Don’t take this the wrong way, but if you use a good search engine, and type in a few words such as (billy the kid pardon) you will come up with quite a few hits such as this . Again, we rant and rave around here about using a search engine before you post/ask a question. This would have been an easy one to practice on.

Thank for the advice, sam, but I used the search engine, but didn’t find what I was looking for. All the results were just brief articles, and I’m trying to find information on the actual group trying to get the pardon.
Well, then, you go back to Google, use the term Ben Rios from my link(the legislator who is pushing the issue), and find a link such as this .
It says a guy who claims to be a great grandson of Billy the Kid is one of the instigators. Whether the fellow is truly related is speculative.

Sam’s sites are as good as anything I’ve seen. It wasn’t anything I had a lot of information on, just something that I had seen that seemed pertinent to that original thread.
(IMNAAHO, someone who claims to be a descendant sounds as though they are looking for a bit of collateral glory. Bonney had at least one sort-of-serious girlfriend, but I have never seen a reference to her (or any of the local prostitutes) bearing him a child. That doesn’t mean it didn’t happen, but it seems unlikely that it would have gone unremarked among all the biographies and commentaries on his life.)
