I loves my birks. 2 pairs, would love to buy a third. I’m trying to convert my husband; not having such luck with that. He’s in the blister period referred to before, but if he could just get through that, I know I’d have him.
I’ve got 11 pairs. All slip-on sandals, except for amethyst suede clogs. I know they are ugly but I love them. And they do have more fun colors and patterns than they used to.
My last pair I wore for twelve years, probably every day in the summer and a lot of the time the rest of the year. I could have gotten them resoled, but they were faded and in the meantime they had invented narrow sizes, so I got new ones a few years ago. They’re amazingly good value for money and I love mine. Not the most beautiful shoes in the world, but I’ve got pretty shoes for pretty occaisions.
I went to a womens’ college, though, so I’m immune to lesbian footwear.
