I’m currently subletting a friend’s apartment, and in the process, cat sitting her two kitties. They’re both orange tabbies. The female is named Tabitha, and is about a year and a half/two years old. The boy is named Mingus, is about 8 months old, and about twice Tabby’s size. Both of them have been desexed.
They like to play around a lot, and it’s good to see that in a fight, Tabitha can still kick Mingus’s ass, but eventually, it always goes too far. Sooner or later, she’ll pin him down, and go STRAIGHT FOR HIS noNUT SACK!!! You’ll suddenly hear this yelp and see poor Mingus running for his life. But it doesn’t end there. She fucking chases him around, and as soon as she gets him, it’s right back to bitting him in what’s still got to be a tender spot. Now, there’s a history of cat allergies in my family, so I’ve never lived with them before, but is this common behaviour for a male/female duo while fighting, or is she just a super-mega-ultra-bitch?
I’ve never seen that behavior before in all my years of owning (being owned by) cats.
