Bite me Zendmedia!

I thought I’d seen it all when it comes to the lengths to which unscrupulous web marketers will go to trick you into buying their products, but this takes the fucking cake!

This ad didn’t fool me for one minute, but I have no doubt that MANY new computer users are getting scammed by these lying bastards every day.

this link will take you to a warning message which looks like a system message which states the following:

This system is shutting down, please save all
work in progress and log off. Any unsaved
changes will be lost. This shutdown was
initiated by NT/AUTHORITY SYSTEM.

Time before shut down: [60 second timer here]

Message:

Windows will now re-start because the
Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service
terminated unexpectedly.

The thing that really pisses me off here is that the site I was visiting at the time made this pop up in a window which had no available toolbars. There was no way to close the window and get out. After the 60 second timer runs out, you are re-directed to another window which also had no toolbars (how do they cause this to happen? Clicking on the above link will open in a window with tool bars…). I had to use Windows Task Manager to get out of the page.

These bastards are tricking people into thinking their computers are hosed. Damnit this pisses me off. I can’t help but wonder what would happen if my parents (who I just helped to set up their first PC) were to accidentally encounter these crooks.

I guess they would probably be out 39.95 and have a firewall they didn’t need.

Fucking crooks! I’ve just about had it with them!!

Alt-F4 is your ally in this situation. It is quite a problem that many people aren’t aware of these relatively simple keyboard shortcuts that can save your PC in the long run.

How about the Internet Washer that looks like Command Prompt?

What really sucks is that’s the same error message that many, many, many people got on Monday/Tuesday with that damn LoveSan virus.

Thanks for the hint Joe K.
