BK's new "Whopperrito" - Great idea or Garbage?

Whopperrito

Is this the logical next step or the last gasp of sanity?

Personally, I make things like this at home all the time. I’ll be trying one if they roll it out nation-wide.

Kind of reminds me of Arby’s gyros, which they have at least in the Chicago market. It’s Arby’s roast beef or turkey on a pita with gyros toppings. I had one a few weeks ago, and it’s pretty much exactly what you’d expect. It’s not all that bad for an Arby’s product.

It’s only put out by a local franchisee, and there are no plans to expand to other outlets.

Same as the Big Mac.

Dude. That’s kind of…brilliant.

I must try one.

I don’t see where it’s a bad idea. Sure, there are going to be people who hate it but these people hate the idea of Burger King in general.

It does sound pretty good. All the goodness of a whopper in a slightly different form factor. It is worlds away from the KFC “bowl” atrocity.

I don’t like BK burgers in general, but I would definitely try this as an option, especially if they had a chicken version.

From the article:

That’s a pretty big area for one ‘local’ franchisee.

This might be the epitome of “damning with faint praise.”

I’m waaaaaay too cool to eat fast food  , but for those who do, I don’t see what’s wrong with it. And for those who like to eat on the go, it’s probably a lot less messy.

Looks like they finally caught up with McDonalds’ Snack Wrap.

Like Taco Bell’s endless permutations of seasoned meat, rice, beans, and cheese, it’s just a rearranged burger.

Is it the same calories/size as a Whopper? Same price?

Eh, we’ve already reached the Fast Food Singularity with KFC’s Double Down chicken sandwich.
