Black Friday: Did you do it? Get anything good?

Sony Dash - originally $200, $130 on sale including shipping. Looks like a nice little gadget.

Okay, I need to bitch about this: I picked up a super sweet burgundy sweater on sale for $20 at Macy’s (I’m not putting a star there) and, at the cash register, was informed that the sweater just got 100% sweeter - Buy one get one free! Oh hell yes. So I went back, picked up the last white one in my size, also bumped into some pretty sweet jackets that I waffled on, but decided against, then went back to the cash register, where I had to wait on a woman who got in line when I left. When it was my turn again, I whipped out my card, white sweater in hand, when the cashier told me that the sale price of zero dollars was no longer an option. What?! Sale ended at two. I got to the register at 2:06. Gah! Where is the straight-faced, unamused emoticon when you need it?!

Good news: Awesome boots for $35, great deal on camera with free shipping from Amazon.

Still. Goddamn, I wanted that free sweater!

I like my chumby. Don’t use it NEAR to the level of it’s capabilities, but it’s kinda cool living in Denver Colorado, but waking to a London streaming radio station.

I shopped online and got $41 off a 32mb iTouch for my daughter.

I hope you mean 32GB or else I hope you got the receipt…

Late in the day, after the crowds had mostly died down, I went and got a cardigan for myself at a great price. I needed one.

The only shopping we did was for some plumbing supplies my husband needed at Lowe’s, plus a stop for a gallon of milk. Poor lady in the grocery store was all alone! Literally - she was at the courtesy desk and no one was there to run the registers! Fortunately, the few of us in the store were getting onesies and twosies of items, so it was quick. Still, not a single clerk?

I did that too, some incredible discounts to be had - some things were 75% to 80% off. I got about five tops and one pair of dress slacks for less than $100 total.

We got all the stuff for our 3 kids- 2 of which turn 7 right before Christmas also. We went to Walmart and SO went alone to Target. We got a Wii Fit Plus for 30% off for ourselves too.

Seriously, the crowds weren’t bad- the register lines were awful, but we saved TONS of money because the sale stuff was all stuff we were going to buy the kids anyway.

Rolled out of bed at 9:30, got two brand new Wii videogames at KMart for almost 40% off, and then off to Lowes where I was able to score a DeWalt 18v drill/driver kit with two batteries and a charger for $99.

Then, drove home, went back to bed,

how are the cherry cordial m&ms? i was very tempted by them. i do enjoy the mint m&ms.

They’re g-r-r-r-eat!

i’ll give it a whirl… they are 2 fer at cvs.

I slept a little late and had a nice breakfast, then went to the dealer and bought a new Jeep

You know, I didn’t think that looked right when I typed it!

Went to Best Buy (in line a 4:30, in at 5) and got Nooks for $100, $50 less than the current price. So, saved a hundred bucks (one for each of us). Not bad, I suppose.

Plus, I appeared for two seconds on the local newscast as I walked behind a guy being interviewed because his car got towed. My life is exciting, let me tell you.

You must try the cherry cordial Hershey Kisses. They taste like actual cherry cordials!

I had some coconut m&m’s once that were very good, too!

I had to work on sale day, but took the kids to Old Navy the previous Tuesday and bought them some new jeans. Then, I kept the jeans in my car and returned them and re-bought them on Saturday and got cash back. Woot!

Are you in the St. Louis area?

I went with my brother and sister-in-law to four different stores because they wanted a TV for their bedroom. Came up empty because the ones they wanted were already sold out. :smack: But I got the Kindle case and book light that I wanted, so it’s all good.
