I was happy for Bill Lester when I read about it on NASCAR.com. He was a part time sports car racer that walked away from a very comfortable job to persue a career in the Craftsman Truck Series.

In all honesty I think it's great. But it isn't all that special, he likes to race and is good at it, wonderful. I personally don't follow he sport but my wife's aunt and uncle drive a motorhome for winston/bush racers and travel to all the races, they love it. The motorhomes are so fuckin* nice...

I think the OP meant to say pole position, which is the first place on the starting grid of a race. Usually, it is obtained by lapping fastest in qualifying.
