I just knackered my left big toe while tramping. It wasn’t a bruise, but a massive blister. I started the draining with a needle under the nail, but eventually had to use my dremel (with a fine grout removal bit) to make a hole in the middle of the nail.
The nail is discoloured, but after three weeks I can see the line of new growth firmly attached to the nail bed. I think it should be ok, and I won’t lose it.
