I actually had done that, and it wasn’t obvious. That’s why I asked here.
Did you read any of the threads? It’s probably not too obvious by just scanning the previews that come up in search, but the lengths that poster went to to be as annoying and jerkish as possible are quite impressive.
I mean, who bumps their own pittings? Repeatedly?
A decent quark/lepton soup does take extra time, and it’s worth the bother, but some of us were getting a little hungry, without knowing what was on the prix fixe menu. 
I think Blackacre was pissed at what he/she saw as the pecking order at SDMB, as his/her targets were usually long-term posters. He/she seemed to delight in identifying weaknesses in an otherwise scientific board (most notably with respect to transgender issues) and to say “Defend that scientifically if you can!!” I was just waiting for him/her to start a thread on obesity.
I wasn’t around for most of this guy’s posts so I don’t really know how bad he was but I have to say, I am so happy I won’t have to read another post by him with that fucking stupid emoticon he ended every post with. It was driving me insane.
