No, no. The word you’re looking for here is “dishonest” and no, we aren’t.

Well, there’s always the Jews for Jesus.
Now, now, Lib. I’ve met several people belonging to that group, and they tend to be fairly low key and laid back people. Certainly if Israel (and Nazi Germany, for that matter) can claim that the term ‘athiest jew’ means something, so can ‘Christian jew.’
Let’s give him to Campus Crusade for Cthulhu, instead.
Cripes, what’s a guy got to do to get his own thread around here?
Cheers!

I dunno, be a fucking ass?
Oh, wait.
Now TVeblen thinks he’s a troll
:dubious:
Damn, you beat me to it.
How on earth does someone get two warnings for trolling?
Shouldn’t they, like, stop after the first one?
Some people are more stubborn or dense?
I think he means that usually a second warning about trolling involves changing the person’s posting status…

Good research about Blackacre’s posting characteristics.
However, you neglected to point out his cultural sophistication
[oracle] Bingo [/oracle]
Has there ever actually been a formal warning? Like, “You have been warned.” I recall none, which is absolutely amazing…
Let me help! Instructions follow:
Obtain a standard fragmentation type hand grenade.
Lubricate with any ordinary lubricant. Toxicity is not a factor.
Keeping on digit firmly wrapped around the pin, shove grenade up your Nixon.
Pull pin, await results.
Upon hearing the news, I will rush to post same, whereupon you will recieve a shower of approval and approbation unlike any you’ve ever known!
Well, when a mod or admin says “knock it off” or “don’t do this again,” you can pretty much consider that a formal warning. AFAIK. IANAMOD.
Not to get all junior-moddy, but…
That sounds close to suggesting a poster kill himself.
Can’t we just keep it to “he’s an asshole who we’d like to see banned?”
All his threads lead me to one conclusion. He really dislikes billygoats.
Question on board rules:
Is it okay to call a poster a troll once two mods have done so?
(or do we need to keep up with the oh-so-thinly-veiled-allusions?)
(and isn’t that a no-no in and of itself?)
Clear up my ignorance, if you please.
I’ll admit that the mods’ handling of blackacre, given his posting history so far, is puzzling me. But I’d personally adhere to the rules as understood for the duration, given that there may right this second be a major mod huddle going on over this guy and I sure don’t want any fallout raining on me.
Truth be known, Finn, I’m not sure I would ever ban anybody, for any expressed opinion, however ridiculous. We’d get used to it, attention mongering posters would be disappointed, and we would roll merrily along.
This is not, by an stretch of the imagination, intended to imply, infer, or suggest any criticism of our beloved Mods, who sit at the right hand of The Cecil, kissy kissy kissy…
It’s also worth remembering that Mods. and Admins. often make formal warnings in e-mail, not on open board, for a variety of reasons that seem good to them. And of course none of us know whether this has in fact been done in this particular case. Likewise, IANAMod.
