blackberry question - getting rid of security policy?

Hi, all. I purchased a refurbished Blackberry 7750 from overstock.com, and it seems they never removed the old security policy that the previous owners installed. As a result, I can’t turn off the firewall, and Opera can’t connect to the internet. More importantly, the built-in WAP browser has been disabled.

Does anyone know how I can remove this security policy? Hard resets don’t do it.

You’ll need to reload the handheld software at minimum. Is that what you are doing? Back when I worked with them, “hard reset” meant “take the battery out” so I’m not thinking that’s what you’ve done.

Who is your cell phone provider? If they provide Blackberry service, they will likely have Blackberry technical support service available to you, as long as they support that model.
