Cripes I get caught by the monitors more than most! I’ll have to be more obtuse when I insult someone off of the pit.

THANK YOU other posters with brains to see beyond the obvious!! My own personal bigotry has no bearing in my post. I am simply very weary of the ‘stomp the white’ attitude of the news media in that we seem to have swung to the opposite extreme of being politically correct. We’ve gone from stomping the oppressed to stomping the perceived oppressor when in actuality, a middle of the road view is needed.

That’s like claiming that all Blacks on welfare are committing welfare fraud, when in actuality there are a mess of whites and Hispanics doing the same thing – but Blacks get singled out.

Hey, the crime rate among Blacks is higher than among other races – and I don’t want to go into a truck load of reasons why going all of the way back to the damaged ego systems of suppressed adult Male Blacks. Facts are facts. So when a police officer profiles a Black person, he or she is going by statistics and personal experience. More weapons are found on Black people during traffic stops than on Whites.

The news media doesn’t seem to mention that but they raise heck with any police officer who over reacts to a Black person and promptly scream racial discrimination and illegal profiling. Somehow, they seem to ignore this when a cop over reacts to a White thug wearing gang colors.

I am just getting real tired of all of this over blown racial crap.

A friend of mines little 9 year old daughter plays with the kids of his black neighbors in a mixed neighborhood. I’ve been there and watched the play with some amusement because the Black kids don’t know they’re supposed to be ‘bad’ and no one has yet taught them the ‘we be, he be, she be, they be’ type of Black lingo. Right now, the oldest is 11 and they have a blast playing tag, blowing soap bubbles, running and screaming all over the place and the little girl doesn’t know she’s ‘supposed’ to look down on Blacks.

She and they don’t often watch the news, being, like most kids, interested in what that frog is doing on the window or when are the first fireflies going to come out. I think if they start listening to the news, things might change.

Like I said, if the shooter had been White, then the FBI would be looking for connections to some devious seperationist group, the news would start bringing out the not very veiled suspicions of KLAN involvement and the National Inquirer would have pictures – obviously touched up – of the White guy holding a Confederate Flag.

BUT, because the shooter was Black and it is not politically correct to tell the truth about sensitive minorities, the news media glosses it over.

Bring back news reporters like Huntly and Brinkly. Black people can be just as racist as White – look at Louis Farrikan and the Nation of Islam. Whoever does the crime, then they do the time and don’t give me any crap about their being ‘forced’ into criminal activities because of the color of their skin.

My bigotry, by the way, ranges to skinheads, seperationists, survivalists, the KKK and any other form of Whites Only group. At least I am aware of my faults and work to control them, unlike many who seem to wallow in theirs like they were some sort of badge of adulthood.

You who seem to deny this odd form of ‘bigotry’ are just allowing it to go on. I noticed, in retrospect, that the news media finally started mentioning that the shooting was racially motivated AFTER radio talk show hosts started yelling about it for several days. You guys should have been yelling. It isn’t adding gasoline to the fire, it’s simply demanding equal time for all, which might cause people to think and NOT be so quick to exaggerate the news so one race or the other ALWAYS looks bad.

Even now, years after the LA riots, news programs seem to find only Black people who feel that the riots were justified and that the burning of miles of mainly Black owned area was a force for the cause. Funny, how they seem NOT to find the Black people and other minorities who lived there who thought it was real stupid to have a riot and burn out their own homes and shops and scare the crap out of businesses so badly that many never returned and all the riot did was convince others how stupid it was.

This selective action displays the Black people as aggressive and not real darn bright. The News Media is covering the possible end of Affirmative Action, playing it up real big that it will affect Black people, because they are obviously too stupid to get the jobs on their own. What they are NOT covering is that affirmative action-which I despise – also encourages hiring practices which benefit women, gays, and other races.

They are not taking a middle of the road stance on things and not showing both sides of an issue.

Seen Jerry Springer lately? He concentrates on getting the biggest, fattest and absolutely stupidest White and Hispanic people on his show as possible. Absolute dregs of society, morally corrupt, socially inept, and most potentially sociopaths.

Rikki Lake does the same thing, only she concentrates on Blacks. So does Divorce court.

Judge Brown, the Black television Judge, provides a well balanced mix of all races. So does that bald, mouthy ex-marine judge.

The other shows concentrate on deliberate, unequal exploitation. Just like the news media.

I’d like it to stop. Report fairly.

But that’s exactly the point, Sentinel chose to ignore the fact that the crime he was referring to WAS classified as a hate crime. I repeat, it WAS a black on white crime and it WAS almost immediately classified as a hate crime based on racist statements made by the suspect during the commision of the crimes and also due to racist materials found in his home.

So bringing up this case as an example of the injustice of hate crime laws just doesn’t fly. It was just an opportunity for the OP to spout ignorance and hate regardless of the facts.

That’s all I have to say on this.

Look, I know a few black people. I’ve lived with them, worked with them, and by and large they have been fine people. In college I roomed with two, and we had a lot of fun. I’m willing to give anyone a chance, regardless of color. If they are somebody I don’t care for, that’s the way it goes.

My post, if you had read the words, was stating that there is a bias when it comes to white on black versus black on white crime. Look at the Reginald Denny case. On videotape, this poor white guy is beaten and had his skull broken by a brick thrown by a black guy. And I BELIEVE the guy that did that somehow got off, as i recall. The OJ case; he unbelievably got off, because the experts say, of “Jury Nullification”; in other words, the black jury was making up for past black injustices by finding OJ innocent.

Again, let me emphasize, I try to give everyone a chance, and not just make blanket generalizations based on appearance, but i think SENTINEL’s point is founded.

There have been several times in the past few years, since the O. J. Simpson aborted attempt a justice, where Black people have publicly stated that his being found not guilty, though they agreed he was, is just retribution for all of the times a Black person was unjustly convicted of a crime he did not do.

On a Black website, one poster readily listed over 2 dozen white hate groups when I listed 4 Black hate organizations. I found it interesting that the Black people I discussed race with (and, yes, I actually CAN discuss such a topic without going ballistic and CAN see the others point of view) seemed convinced that Whites are the most racist people in the universe while the Blacks harbor hardly any grudges at all.

When I pointed out the Asian Barbarian Hoards and their universal hate for anyone who wasn’t them, along with the Chinese centuries long strict policy of isolation and enslavement of anyone not Chinese, pointed out the slave-like cast system of India, and brought up the many tribal wars among the Africans which had gone on for centuries before the arrival of the Whites, I was jeered at and called a liar and run off of the board.

It is NOT politically correct these days to term anyone ‘of color’ racist. Like *** so many others just have to point out that they have lived among Blacks in their communities*** so have I. Since then, I have been an advocate of breaking up such segregated living because I’ve observed first hand the hatred which simmers and ferments there that most Whites are not aware of. Interestingly enough, in such communities Blacks preying on Blacks is considered normal, but let a White person living there prey on a Black and it is racist.

The Asian guy who owns the little store festooned with burglar bars and steel shutters and who deals from behind shatter proof glass and charges $1.40 for a bottle of soda is NOT a racist but simply a son of a b***h. Now, the dark skinned Pakistani who owns a similar store and does the same is a ‘Nigger’ BUT he is not racist.

Only Whites are considered racist. Only in tight knit Black communities have I found little stores run by little old Black ladies who have enough burglar bars on the windows and doors to protect Fort Knox and more than likely have a .45 revolver under the register. I never spotted such things in tight knit Asian communities, nor in the few, back woods, all white places. Not even in the Hispanic communities.

Yet, only Whites are considered racist. Watch the news media. Let a White guy kill or injure a Black person and it is instantly racist. Let a Black guy do the same to a White person and he’s only a thug. When there was a rash of killings of young Black boys, the cops started looking for a White man, a pedophile who was racist. They almost did not want to believe it when the profilers decided it was actually a Black man doing the crimes – and it was.

If I mention that a person is Black in any of my posts, I get jumped on by assorted PC people who demand to know why I designated the persons color. (Because it was vital to the story.) I consider that racism.

I have watched many a Black film where the Black actors portray Blacks as obnoxious, nasty, back stabbing, dangerous, drug dealing and generally rotten people and found that the film gets rave reviews. Let a White producer make such a film about Blacks and he would be hauled up before court by the NAACP, called a racist in every newspaper in the nation, the National Inquirer would post huge stories hinting of his potential KKK background and the TV news would start digging for signs of racial hatred in his past to smear before the world.

In a job I had in the past, one of my duties was to chase any escaping ‘patient’ who left the facility. Because the facility was right on the edge of a major Black community, I now and then had to chase a Black person, accompanied by other Black staff. No, it had nothing to do with any criminal activity, just that the patients were sick and often delusional.

I had to stop because the local Blacks, knowing where the person came from, if they saw me chasing him, would hide him just because I am White. It did not matter that the person was ill, out of his mind and a potential danger to himself and others, but since a White man was chasing him, he MUST be hidden. I had to let the Black associates chase any Black patients down who slipped out.

Racism.

Whites do not have the only racists in America.

‘Hate Crime’ is term that makes my skin crawl. Like there’s such a thing as a ‘love’ crime?
Only the act should be punished, not the motive. If a white man kills a black man because he has hatred for black people, he should punished to the full extent of the law. But if that same white man kills a white man just for the fun of watching him die, why would that be considered less heinous than the ‘hate’ crime?

I understand what you are saying. All crimes should be punished equally – but there are some crimes which, when committed because of hate are considered somewhat more serious.

I’ll try to give an example. The Japanese, during WW2, treated their POWs with lack of compassion, brutality, cruelty and sheer racism. They did it because they had been raised to believe that they were a superior race and their leader a god in human form.

The Germans singled out the Jews, treated them the same way, only deliberately set out to exterminate as many as possible, because they disliked the people. Other prisoners were treated far better. The big difference here is that the Nazis chose the Jews – or Hitler did – to hate. The Japanese did not choose anyone.

After the war, the Nazis were treated far more harshly than were the Japanese for this reason.

A person who kills someone for the pleasure of killing them is a rabid animal and should be treated as such when brought to justice. The person who singles out another of a different race to kill just because of their color is a whole other form of rabid animal, actually more dangerous than the first because that form of hate spreads deliberately. This form of rabid animal DELIBERATELY seeks a specific type of target and usually encourages others to hate that form of target. Their treatment needs to be more serious when brought to justice.

In the long run, the person who commits hate crimes can cause more serious injury and problems, even unrelated deaths than the first killer. The first killer is sick. Anyone who kills another for the pleasure of killing is mentally off. The basic difference is that he will not find a large audience or group of peers to encourage to do the same in one way or another nor to cause problems for his type of victim. A person who commits hate crimes will, by using the misconceptions and prejudices of others.

In this way, a hate crime can have larger ramifications than a serial killer.
