Observations:
Hmmm this is quite good actually! Fun!

OMIGOD that’s Luke Goss… from 80s boyband BROS that I got bullied over not fancying as a wee Iteki!!

Blade bears an alarming resemblance to Grace Jones in many shots.

This Leonor Varela pleases me. Have her washed and brought to my tent.

CGI is all well and good in moderation, but when your fight scenes look like a video game, you need to cut down on it or get a hella lot better at it. Obvious = Bad.

OMIGOD that’s Cat from Red Dwarf!

Surprising enough to observe twice, this is quite good fun actually.

The director’s commentary on the DVD is great! Del Toro is fully aware that those two CG scenes look really obvious and that the script gets really sucky sometimes. The best bit I think is when he makes the other guy shut up: “wait, wait, this is the worst line in the movie, wait for him to say it!”
