Does Blair Underwood have HIV/AIDS ??? There are billboards all over Los Angeles with Blair Underwoods huge face promoting HIV testing. Are these ads just Blair’s endorsement of testing like Joey Tribiani’s endorsement of syphilis testing, or does he really have HIV/AIDS ??
I don’t know why you’d assume he has HIV because he’s pushing for HIV testing. Katy Couric doesn’t have colon cancer and she pushes for people to get colonoscopies. Ellen Degeneres doesn’t have breast cancer and she pushes people to get mammograms.
Well, he’s a spokesman for the AIDS Healthcare Foundation Pharmacies. He’s been an activist for AIDS issues since he visited South Africa, which as you know, has a high HIV rate. I don’t believe he’s HIV positive, or at least, he’s never revealed that, if he is.
Assume is when you don’t ask.
HIV/AIDS and homosexuality/bisexuality is very taboo in the African American community. It would be a service of any black male to encourage testing of anyone.
I know of LOT of black men who have sex with men (forget trying to lable them) and also have wives and girlfriends, much more so than I know of white males who do.
So the HIV/AIDS is more likely to spread into the female African American community that way.
