For several weeks TV stations ran a commercial for Blockbuster Video stores with two animals watching the store from their pet shop across the street. A rabbit has literal “rabbit ears” that slide out of position and the “picture” is lost: Instead of the view across the street they have TV snow. Before the hamster gets the rabbit’s ears properly reset, they get a picture of an old time hoofer, who looks a lot like Peter Boyle, doing some kind of slide dance on the stage, and the music is da-da-DA-da-da…" The dance is similar to the ridiculous shuffle Curly of the Three Stooges, did. Is this a real dance, or something made up for the commercial?
Is this commercial part of the series with James 'The Rabbit" Woods and Jim “The Hamster” Belushi?
Peter “Young Frankenstein” Boyle?
Auuugh.
What I’d like to know is WHO is that hoofer? From the look of the curtains in the background it looks like the clip is from a talk/variety show circa mid-late 60s.
