Bloomberg anti-gun lies dealt another blow

No, Fox News is allowed to broadcast in Canada, and is offered by my cable provider. Snopes has debunked the rumour that it was disallowed because it was not news:

I don’t know how popular it is–certainly here in conservative (by Canadian standards) Alberta, I don’t know anybody who watches it. It does require a subscription to access, and it is so far down the dial that I had to actually look for it on my onscreen channel guide–it’s unlikely I’d find it as I cruise around my favourite channels.

Actually I never asked for a cite in this thread. I was asking you to expound upon the OP rather then just providing links.
So here is the 2011 report that Fox mislabeled as 2015: https://everytownresearch.org/documents/2015/04/point-click-fire.pdf
Are you sure the report is BS? It seems to be mostly concerned with the private sales of guns. Though between the reports and the Fox article, I only skimmed so I might have missed some details.

Just an FYI. This guy just admitted he was trolling in his latest post. I won’t say how I know, since it’s the easiest thing in the world to hide. But real people do not engage in this manner.

Though, of course, he was shit-stirring even before this was in the Pit, given his responses. I’m just saying I now know for sure that it’s trolling, not a gullible rant in the wrong place.

Where does he admit he was trolling? I think his Op is probably not correct, but that is not trolling. So far my limited interactions with **BlueMerle **on the Dope show him to be a pretty good poster, unlike **HurricaneDitka **who is just a bottomfeeding muckdwelling scumsucking waste of bandwidth.

Well, according the the link I posted in the OP from the GAO it is. So who do you believe, the GAO or a study funded by the most anti-gun person in the US?

Everytown, Mothers demand action, Mayors against gun violence… etc etc are all Bloomberg puppets and they lie about everything.

I don’t have a problem if people are anti-gun, I just have a problem if they are based on lies that have repeatedly been disproven. Like Fox can’t broadcast in Canada or the Trump administration says everything is ok ( what an ignorant and misinformed post that was. The GAO serves the congress and it’s leader is appointed by the President to a 15 year term. The current one is an Obama appointee)

I think you should explain yourself. Otherwise you’re the one that’s trolling.

Well first, Bloomberg is not the most anti-gun person in the US, you haven’t met my friend Amy.

The report is clearly labeled DECEMBER 2011 on page 3, I see not reason not to believe it. That would be an odd thing to lie about wouldn’t it? As far as lies, well Fox does kind of specializes in lies and especially lies of omissions (as does MSNBC, though CNN is more far too many mistakes to count, the tabloid of the networks).

Ok, your friend Amy aside, I think we have found common ground on this at least.

That’s the lesson here? Sez the guy that linked to Fox “News”? I’m not here advocating for any Bloomberg puppet, whatever that is, but you linked to Fox Motherfucking “News” and you claim to be concerned with “factual or accurate”. Jeez, dude.

keep reading nancy.

The defunct Sun News Network provided a fairly good indication of how well a Canadian version of Fox News would do in Canada had Murdoch actually started it up. I don’t know if anyone carried it out where you are, but it was a Fox-like right-wing wasteland that quickly became a laughingstock. They applied to the CRTC for must-carry status on basic cable, which exists for both the CBC and the CTV news channels because news is deemed to be in the public interest. That was their only hope for survival because there aren’t enough wingnuts in Canada to support a bullshit network like that, and their argument was that their Fox-like right-wing ranting was news, too, just like CBC News. The CRTC basically laughed, and the bloviating fuckers mercifully went out of business and shut down.

I’m thinking BigT might be right. You’re coming across as a troll.

Riight, right, right. Nice talking to you, Buddy. You take care now.

How so?

Can you give any specific example other than I advocate for a certain pov that you don’t subscribe to?

I’ll be waiting here for you or BigT to do so.

Saying “fuck you” to other posters is against the rules. Please avoid this in the future.

No warning issued.

You post links to juvenile name-calling from Fox and the NRA while this thread is still in IMHO, then complain about snark after it has been moved to The BBQ Pit?
I’ve seen more subtle trolling in the movie Troll.

Well, we are anti-trolling, and you seem to be pro-trolling.

I’ll assume that after you read the Bloomberg study you had nothing better to offer.

From what I can tell from his posts, BlueMerle is a Texas-dwelling gun-totin’ Second-Amendment-thumper who likes carrying his handguns around everywhere because, well, why not? He loves them dearly, and you never know when you might need to shoot someone, like a gun control advocate. This probably informs his views on what information is “accurate” when it comes to anything about guns, thus making him inclined to cite both Fox News and the NRA on these matters.

I’m going to give y’all the last word here. It’s clear that a pro gun pov isn’t welcome or tolerated here. As evidenced by many of the comments and the fact that this thread was moved to the Pit and not Great Debates.

Nothing I can do about that, other than to vote. And I do vote. And as you can see so do millions of other gun owners. In the last 30 years gun rights have expanded exponentially throughout the US.

That alone should tell you something.
