Bluetooth head(ache) sets?

I wasn’t sure whether to put this in GQ or not; I think there might be a factual answer, but we’ll see where this goes.

I have a Bluetooth headset for my phone. I’ve had it for about a year now, although I very rarely have a reason to wear it (I generally ride a motorcycle). However, I find that whenever I do wear it, it inevitably winds up hurting my ear. A lot. I fiddle with it constantly, and sometimes I can get it to hurt less, or (depending on how I seat it initially) it might take longer for the pain to set in, but it always ends up hurting eventually.

I feel like I must be doing something wrong since people are constantly wearing these things and I’ve never heard anyone else describe this problem that I can remember. Yes, I wear glasses, although I think I’m pretty careful to keep them out of contact with the headset.

Help?

Are you talking about those headsets that kinda have a loop that rests on the top of your ear? I can NOT wear those things. No matter how I wear them, my ear starts hurting a lot within five minutes. Same goes for those ‘ear bud’ type headphones (like iPod). Maybe we just have irregularly shaped ears?

The first kind where it loops around the top of the ear, kinda. I suppose it could be an ear shape thing, although I haven’t had anyone make fun of the shape of my ears since I was in elementary school, and I’ve met many immature folks since then.

I wear this one.

I don’t even know it’s on. Often, I have to feel my ear to see if I am indeed wearing it.

I only wear it in my vehicle, but I could wear it all day long with no problems. I also wear it with glasses.

What brand are you using?

Jabra…it’s a BT135, I think.
