Blunt Talk

I watched the first two episodes last night on Starz. I got a strong Archer vibe from it but don’t remember any curry jokes. Sir Patrick on CNBC this morning said he watched a Jon Stewart show all day long to help with his role.
I liked the first two enough to keep watching and hope the supporting cast gets more lines. It had depth I did not expect and was much less cringe worthy than the trailers led to think.

They stole our fucking name. I used to be part of a community talk radio show called BLunt Youth Radio Project which has been around since 1994.

Caught the first episode, I liked the shear surrealness of seeing Picard/Xavier in such a strange role.

Patrick Stewart snorting coke… I’ve now seen it all.

The comedic excess was quite amusing to watch. We’ve known he’s funny, but to see all the barriers shattered is another thing altogether.

I watched this last night and will keep watching for a while. Agreed with above that Patrick Stewart playing a role that seems so opposite who he is is what garnered the most laughs from me in the first episode. I also cracked up at the idea of a news show actually attempting to have both the interviewer and interviewee being the same person. I kind of wish one of the talk shows would try that sometime!
