Oh yea! Well, I challenge you to a dance contest! And the Bat-tusi is prohibited!
Objection: Battles regarding the Joker must be conducted in the form of a surfing contest.
Cesar Romero was a great joker. He loved doing the part and it showed.
Robin Williams would have been a great joker, as was Jack Nicholson.
For the Penguin, I’d have loved to have seen Sorrell Booke.
The extra creepy aspect of Romero as the Joker was the painted over mustache. I guess that’s a plus.
Forgot the link to the Romero/Joker pic. Here.
That’s right, I remember this now. Thanks,
Interestingly enough (I guess), the Romero mustache wasn’t something that I noticed when I was a little kid. It didn’t see it until I figured out that the show was camp.
Ginger (Tina Louise) could have been a pretty good Catwoman.
Imagine the castaways find the rare tropical berry that gives them all super powers. What would their powers be? What kind of superhero team would they form?
Maybe I’ll start a thread.
Tina Louise and Julie Newman had already appeared together, in the Broadway musical Li’l Abner.. As, respectively, Apassionata Von Climax and Stupefyin’ Jones.
God bless Al Capp and his talent for characterization.
Surely you know Julie’s last name is Newmar. :dubious:
I read “Bob Denver” but in my head I see and hear John Denver. As the Joker.
If I recall correctly, Robin Williams was one of the names being thrown around for consideration as the Riddler before Jim Carrey got the role in Batman Forever.
Farm out!
Out of state!
The castaways did find radioactive vegetables that gave them powers. Gilligan was superstrong. Luvvy Howell was a speedster. Mary Ann had super vision.
As Batman villains, I see Tina Louise as Marsha, Queen of Diamonds.
My choice as the Joker? Andy Griffith. (Watch the movie Face in the Crowd.)
Andy Griffith as the Joker is sheer genius! Although I’m upset no one’s commented on my Timothy Carey suggestion.
Hey, did anyone mention the radioactive vegetables yet? (Oooops, that should have gone into the super powered Gilligan thread)
Here’s a clip from the movie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZ4nqphP21k
Opie: Gee, Pa, please don’t laugh like that. It gives me the willies something terrible like.
Batman & Robin go to Mayberry to fight Otis Campbell as The Drunkard and Barney Fife as The One-Bullet Fumbler.
Robin: Holy Nip It In the Bud, Batman!
“gives me the willies something fierce”
Yes, I mentioned it in my post about Andy Griffith as the Joker.
