Bobby-soxer from ''Little Red Riding Rabbit'' (1944): Identified?

This question has come up a number of times: Was the annoying bobby-soxer a parody of someone, and if so, whom?

A number of names have been posited, but there’s never been any verification. I notice that the IMDB entry for this cartoon not claims that it was based on actress Cass Daley.

While admittedly that doesn’t cinch it, I did come across that name a while back as the most likely candidate for the parody–however, I didn’t make a note of it, and then forgot where I came across the reference. Butnow that someone has added that tid-bit to IMDB, that is definitely the name I remember seeing.

Now. . .

Is there anyone familiar with this actress that can verify that the parody in the cartoon is a reasonable charicature?

Well, it was the uncredited Bea Benederet who played the bobby soxer. Near as I can determine that was not a parody of a specific person but a character she created. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t Cass Daley because her act was older and “wiser” than that.

Was she the one who talked liked this?:

“I brought you something, TO HAVE!”
