Body hair et all.

Why?

I know we covered the ‘eye brows’ thingy in a discussion before, and it is obvious that we have hair on our head to help keep heat in, but why have hair any where else?

I can understand fine hair on the body as an evolutionary thing. (We don’t really need it, so it slowly goes away.) But why do we have a whack of hair under our arms and on our…um…‘you know’?

I can’t for the life of me think of a reason.

This is from a couple of weeks ago, including a link to a Cecil column.

Apparently, it’s for dry lubrication, meaning your armpits and private parts will rub together or separately and the hair helps skin not stick together.

Thanks!

I thought this was talked about before, but I couldn’t find it.
