When I hear & read people talking about bondage, I hear a broad range of experience on how long an individual can stand, or at least comfortably stand, being tied up. I’ve heard people not complain about overnight, and other people groan about fifteen minutes. Of course, it depends on the individual and how they were restrained – just from common sense, there’s got to be a big difference between lying down on a bed and standing on your tiptoes. :eek:
So I thought I’d throw this one to the Dopers for curiosity. What’s the longest you’ve been bound and how (ropes, tape, handcuffs; standing, lying down; etc.)?
Perhaps fifteen minutes, with wrist and ankle cuffs, in a low kneeling position with toes pointing rearwards. All involved could hear the crunching noises my ankles made when I finally straightened them. Ouchie.

My wrists were tied above my head while I was laying down. This lasted for the majority of the playing time of the Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack.
Just last Friday night, my wrists were handcuffed to the headboard and feet tied together – for the entire playing length of Depeche Mode’s Ultra album.
What a great soundtrack for bondage! Thoughtfulness is definitely one of my girlfriend’s best qualities.
