So, if you had a monkey, you’d spank it?
But, seriously, if I had a monkey, I’d summon pest control. I would not get near enough to the vile creature to spank it.
I just downloaded it. It found 153 components, yes 153!. Yikes.
I downloaded Ad-Aware, and I have a lot of spy components. I didn’t count them all. Some are from Alexa and Gator, which I use, but could do without. Others I don’t know what the Hell they are, such as New Net and OnFlow. Others are noted as cookies. Is it safe to delete all these? I don’t want to delete something that I need to run my computer.
That I am aware, nothing that Ad-Aware will delete will cause your puter to freeze. If you are, indeed, using one of the services that it identifies as spyware, simply do not select that file for deletion (i.e., do not check the plain white box to the left of the file name that indicates you want it deleted).
The only really “bad” thing that should happen is that you may have to re-enter your user name and password on some sites, because the destroyed cookie was where the the site kept them for automatic retrieval.
This kind of shit really irritates me.
I spend all kinds of time telling people that the internet is the place to be.
You need a recipe? Check the internet, it’ll have one. You want a phone number? Fuck the 411 thirty-five cent charge, check the internet, you can get it for free.
People go online, not knowing much, and get this shit.
It’s disappointing.
I wish people could see the true internet for what it is, an oasis of information just waiting to be drunk.
Intstead, what peple find, is this shit- Obnxious, obtrusive, overbearing bullshit, screwing people over at any given chance and taking them for everything their worth.
It’s sad.
