I need some books to read. Just… Some books. To read. Please include a short blurb including the subject, and why it is exactly that I should read the book. For reference, I just finished reading House Of Leaves, and I enjoyed it immensely.
I just really liked it! Romance, time travel, tragedy…what’s not to love?
George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” series is unbeatable if you want good, solid, fascinating fantasy. It’s too complicated to summarize in a note, but it’s got dragons, zombies, murder, kidnapped princesses, secret origins, incest, evil sorceresses, dwarfs, songs, gay knights, star-crossed lovers, revenge, exiled heirs, giant wolves, tragedy, comedy, romance, and a character named Hot Pie.
Pick up the first book, A Game of Thrones and dig in.

You could try reading (if that’s the term) the Whalestoe letters, a collection of letters Jimmy’s mom wrote to him.
If you want to change it up a little, read the Universe in a Nutshell, by Stephen Hawkin
Life of Pi is an excellent book, its about a boy stuck in a lifeboat with a tiger in the ocean and survives.
If you’re at all into art and/or history, I just finished the excellent Strapless: The Rise of John Singer Sargent and the Fall of Madame X, a dual biography of the painter and his most notorious subject.
