How do I bookmark a page that has an automatic redirect set up? For example, if you visit The Daily Show with Trevor Noah - TV Series | Comedy Central US, it automatically takes you to the latest episode. However, the link on the latest episode page is …full-episodes/thu-dec-2etc. If I add that bookmark, it will always take me to the Dec 2 episode, rather than the latest one. How do I add The Daily Show with Trevor Noah - TV Series | Comedy Central US to my bookmarks?
Create the bookmark from the redirect page. Then go in to your bookmarks and edit the link. You can edit the bookmarks by hand any time you want.
In Firefox & Windows
[ol]
[li]Make a bookmark from the page you are redirected to[/li][li]Right click on the bookmark[/li][li]Select “Properties”[/li][li]Edit “Location” so that it just shows the URL you want, in this case “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah - TV Series | Comedy Central US” (in most cases, including this one, that just means deleting the end part of what you will already have there).[/li][li]Click “Save”, and you are done.[/li][/ol]
No doubt similar things can be done in a not too dissimilar way in different browsers and in different operating systems.
Many thanks!
Alternately, if there’s a link somewhere to the redirecting page, you can right-click and select “Bookmark this link”.
