Books you've never read that everyone else has.

DaVinci Code

Not sure why, usually popular books don’t intrigue me, but anything with a Hidden Code usually sucks me in. I’ll wait for the movie.

Anna Karennina or whatever. Yeah, I know-a classic that I will love (and that is probably true–I just can’t pick the damned thing up).

Catcher in the Rye
To Kill a Mockingbird

Jusat about all of them, including, but by no means limited to:

Lord of the Rings
Lord of the Flies
Catcher in the Rye
Grapes of Wrath
Moby Dick
Adventures of Tom Sawyer and/or Huckleberry Finn
(or anything else deemed a “Classic”)
Da Vinci Code
Just about anything by Stephen King (I’ve read Cujo and a few short stories.)

To Kill A Mockingbird I haven’t even seen the movie.

To Kill a Mockingbird, which has been mentioned by two other posters already. Whaddup with that?

The DaVinci Code
Harry Potter from #2 on. Read the first one, thought it was pretty “Meh.”

Well, judging by this thread, you can’t be the only one. Me too, anyway. Someday I may get around to it, but I figure anything with that much hype probably isn’t worth it.

Lord of the Flies
A Separate Peace
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
Sounder
Old Yeller
Billy Budd
Old Man and the Sea

And you people should definitely read To Kill a Mockingbird and see the movie, and run screaming from The DaVinci Code in any form.

Catch-22. For some reason, I feel like I’m past the point in my life where I should read it. I haven’t and and have no desire to read The Davinci Code.

Good Omens (and I’m a big Neil Gaiman fan!)

DaVinci Code

Most o’ them Harry Potter books. I saw the first couple movies, told people I hadn’t read the books, people said "OOOh! you’re missing so much; you have to read the books; I read the first two and a half and didn’t find that my life had been made fuller, so I decided not to spoil the second half of the third movie. I’ll wait for the rest of them to come out as movies, thanks.

I just read it last week. Want my copy?

I never read Stranger in a Strange Land. (Or The DaVinci Code.)

Another no-DaVinci-Coder here. Also, I’m a fantasy fanboy who’s never read more than 70 pages of the Wheel of Time monstrosity.

To Kill a Mockingbird, though–now THERE’s a good book.

Daniel

I’ve never read:

The Da Vinci Code
Any Harry Potter (saw the movies, though)
Ann Rice
To Kill a Mockingbird
Catcher in the Rye
Tom Clancy other than Hunt for Red October
Terry Pratchett (I know, I know.)

Another non-reader of The DaVinci Code

Nor any of the Left Behind books. I read an excrement, er, excerpt on-line, and it stunk so bad I wished I had brain Lysol

Nothing by Nicholas Sparks either, and he’s pretty popular

I felt I needed to add some more:

Harry Potter
Wheel of Time
Sword of Truth
the Pern novels
Terry Pratchet
Terry Brooks
Tom Clancy
Ann Rice

Although I have read To Kill A Mockingbird, though it was many years ago for 9th grade English.

Any work of fiction released in the last 15 years or so.

The Bible. Sure, I’ve read many excerpts, but far-flung fantasy just isn’t my cupatea.

No DaVinci Code
No Harry Potter
No Anne Rice.
No Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance
Np Lord of the Rings (though I did read The Hobbit once, and promptly forgot it)
