It was a great episode, but I don’t remember it all that well. Samuel Jackson’s character was, of course, fun. But my favorite bit was the shopkeeper saying something like “I don’t have any weapons, check the Korean place, up north.”
I’ve a few episodes and most of them left me unimpressed.
The only one I did like was the ‘art’ episode where the ‘happy trees’ guy teaches Huey how to paint/vandalise stuff and gets into a car chase/shoot out with the police. That was funnier than Wayen on the Dave Chappel show.
Actually I think Boondocks is trying to be a cartoon Chappel show but it isn’t as good.
Still, you gota admire the effort they put in aping Chappelle’s skewed sensibilities and his keeping his standards that high. That “happy trees guy” episode was funnier than “Return of The King.”
I want to apoligize to everybody out there. I promised myself that I would not post while drunk this year. This was most likely should have ben a Pit rant. Sorry for any confusion it caused.
But I must say, I am impressed that most of you were able to understand what I was ranting about. Even though it was incoherent. I watched while drunk and was Profoundly struck at it’s in your face satire. I wacthed it again and was not so offended, but still it disturbed me. I think now that was is intent. To make you think about what’s going on. I guess you can call that Art.
I’ll try to keep myself from the keyboard whist drunk again.
