Not a bad back.
SHINGLES!

Yes, no sooner than I read the recent thread on Chickenpox vaccines, I contracted shingles.

:frowning: BLEAGH! :stuck_out_tongue:

I really hurts.

It itches!! Like Hell.

The muscle pains & stiffness fooled me into thinking I had a back injury.

The rashes & blisters didn’t start until after I posted last night.

I’ve been given pain killers, & a drug that helps control viral diseases. [sub]Doesn’t cure it, though.[/sub]

I was fooled. According to my doctor, a lot of physicians are fooled by this , too. The chest pains are sometimes mistaken for cardiac disease.

Ouch! Shingles are supposed to be really, really painful. Hope your case clears up quickly and never returns. My mom had a bad bout several years ago and nothing since then, so I know that is possible.

Any good painkillers? :slight_smile:

No entertainment value in these painkillers.

Oh, well.
Perhaps I can sleep in my own bed tonight, instead of that overstuffed chair.

Owie. Poor Bosda!

I’ve never had them but my Mom did and I know what she went through. It was one of the few times I ever heard my mother cuss.

I shoulda known that thread was going to be trouble when I started it, sorry man.

My MIL had shingles last year, no fun whatsoever. The really weird thing is that after a while it settled in her eyes of all places. She had to be on some funky eyedrops for a time.

Here’s to a speedy recovery.

Feeling better this AM.

Blisters going down under the effect of the pills.
Pain going away.
I still itch like hell, though.
