Good ep. Strong performances from Ethan Phillips and Armin Shimerman in particular. I wasn’t expecting that revelation about the young man and his mother.
Great line from Denny to Gracie Jane: “Ten minutes of chubby sex.”
And Alan Shore moved himself one step closer to immortality.
I wasn’t either, and I’m not sure I liked it. It seemed gratuitous, inserted just to draw out the mystery. It also seemed unlikely that dad would be the one to reveal it. He must really hate his ex, to sabotage the kid like that.
What’s with allowing witnesses Peepie and the Judge to be in the courtroom listening to testimony? Isn’t that a no-no? But at least they acknowledged that the surprise testimony is something they can use on appeal.
I liked Alan’s take on freedom of religion. 
I wondered if Alan had been reading Sam Harris’s book The End of Faith and we just weren’t told about it.
