Shirley has a Thanksgiving dinner which promises to be…um, memorable.
half way thru, and I’m disappointed. Far too much. Almost cartoonist and not in a good way.
Really? I liked it, although Alan was truly being an ass (and I always LIKE him!) I teared up when Denny thought it was his birthday and again when Shirley, um, agreed…
Best Boston Legal So far this season! So, who thinks Katie has feelings for Jerry and is in denial… Raise your hand!
I was almost in tears by the end . The series finale is scheduled for December 8th, only 3 more episodes left. I think Alan really will kill Denny (though as a lawyer he should’ve know to register the gun in Denny’s name).
I can’t imagine they’d end the series with Alan killing Denny, or with Denny dead. I don’t think they’ll end on a sad note. More likely since the firm is broke, Alan and Denny will head off into the sunset, a fishing trip, or an around-the-world cruise. Something fun, with the potential for a sad end that we won’t see.
I think Katie loves Jerry but – maybe I’m projecting – I don’t think she’s physically attracted to him. She might get there in time, but so far their relationship has mostly been mother-child, or brother-sister. She’s protective of him.
They could just have it with Alan standing behind Denny and telling him about the rabbits and then the screen could go black and we hear a gunshot.
 Noooooo. That’d be much too dark for this show. There’s always been some hope underneath the cynicism.
They could have Denny climb up on the ledge and then fade to black.
Or Denny will fall through a fire escape while fighting Malcolm McDowell and his last words will be “It’s been fun.” Then Alan will bury him under some rocks and put his paintball gun on top.
What?
They would have to have a deep discussion about LexisNexis first.
When was it cancelled? I thought they got a full season when they got a new lease after last season’s “Gone Fishin’” semi series finale.
Only three more eps??? I had fully counted on a whole season.
Oh no, only 3 more eps left of Boston Legal??!
This show was pretty good, although it kind of dragged on a bit. What was the deal with the “You’re a hoot” guy showing up? I never did quite understand that part.
I think the series will end like most of the regular episodes have…with Denny and Alan on the balcony, discussing cosmic truths. That’s the only way to go, IMO.
Just got through this … AWFUL episode. I know I’m late, but I couldn’t let such an immense failure go by without remarking on it.
What in god’s name makes TV writers think that enduring the awkward, uncomfortable and at times downright evil behaviour of dysfunctional “families” is any more fun on TV than it is around our own dinner tables? Excruciating.
The behaviour of everyone went from amusingly quirky to obnoxiously fake. Alan’s behaviour in particular was not only over the top, it was uncharacteristic. His respect and deference to Shirley dissapeared entirely. Denny’s Mad Cow accelerated rather unusually. And what’s with Poole’s sudden child? It’s like Cousin oliver showed. Weak.
And the “hey, we’re on TV” jokes are getting really, really lame. Poole’s “we’ve been cancelled”, Alan’s Priceline reference … their sly in-jokes have become clunky single entendres.
Anyway, I’ve watched every single episode of this series since it began, and I’m certainly not gonna stop with the end so close, but if that had been how the series was written early on, I would have abandoned it long ago.
Now, I’ll watch the next episode…
