Boston Manhunt: How Does This End?

You called it.

They got him.

I was going to say someone’s shed in a back yard (there was a COPs episode where a guy hid under a persons kiddie pool that briefly fluttered through my mind), but I thought that he’d actually be seen by the homeowner and that the police would be able to nab him without a gun fight.

Do we now bet on whether or not he kills himself in a cell?

I am surprised they were still in the Boston area, if it’s the same guys wanted in connection with the bombing. By my reckoning, they had two days where no-one was really certain who the suspects were or what they looked like - more than enough time to make a run for Canada or South America.

I am surprised he surrendered, though I am glad he did so he can shed some light on his motivations. He had ample time to off himself today (unless in the unlikely event he didn’t have a weapon) and his prosecution is going to be brutle. It will be significantly more difficult to kill himself in custody.

I think that they had no intention of running. They had plenty of bombs, and they intended to use them.

I wonder if this speaks to his level of commitment to whatever cause he follows. Might be an indication of what his defense attorneys will try, whether at trial or in plea bargaining.

I don’t know that he surrendered so much as succumbed to his injuries. Hard to resist being taken into custody if you’re unconscious.

That seems to be what some are thinking.

Guess they wanted to martyr themselves in a blaze of glory. I suppose Tamerlan got what he wanted (spoilered for mildly graphic description):[spoiler]
