Not Portal. DQs for the anarchist and the painter…
What the hell:
IQ:
Are you commonly known today as El Greco?
And just thinking out loud - how about this for a 20th DQ:
Are you still known today primarily by your name beginning with P?
Portico, not Portal, but close enough.
Pierre Julian Prudhon has been called the first anarchist; Pierre-Paul Prud’hon was the artist.
I’m gonna have to think about my DQs a bit.
Not El Greco (whatever his real name was - something Greek, 15 letters or so, and probably ending in -poulos).

Once more into the breach, dear friends!
IQs
- Were you the voice of Boris Badenov?
- Were you a Russian monarch who liked to knock the hats off his advisors?
- Were you a fictional TV count who may have partly inspired Dungeons & Dragon’s Vecna?
Well, I’m stumped.
Thinking out loud: Despair not, there’s all of Eastern Europe, Greece and Scandinavia. We know he was a real a 17th Century painter. It’s just a question of whether he’s a Macedonian genre painter, a Hungarian portraitist or a Swedish muralist (etc., etc.)
Not Peter the Great. DQs for the voice and the count.
That would be the versatile Paul Frees and Dark Shadows’ Count Petofi (who searched for his hand, now separated from his body, that he’d infused with most of his magical powers).
DQs:
- Were you Scandinavian (Danish, Swedish, Norse, Finnish)?
- Were you best known for your portraits?

- I’ll say best known for portraits, though I did a lot of other works as well
As I recall, somebody told me these games traditionally go to 20 DQs - we’re up to 23 now. How much longer do we want to drag this out?
Okay, as far as I’m concerned, you win! Well played. Who the HELL is this guy?
Seconded. 20 answered DQs is the rule. Go ahead and tell us.
Let’s wait until tomorrow morning (EST), to see if the last few DQs will be useful for etv78…
DQ1: German or Prussian?
DQ2: Portuguese?
DQs??
Your post above implied that you were throwing it out there for people to fire DQs. ![]()
Which post implied that?
