I have blanked on all three. Take your DQs and use them wisely.
I have no idea on 1… 2 is the WWII general? But I don’t remember his name.

Rodger Young (Starship Troopers).
Robert Scott - Flying Tiger, USAAF ace, and USAF brigadier general.
Correct.
DQ1: Died before 1600?
DQ2: Known for the Arts, as defined by this group?
IQ1: Were you Doctor Mirabilis?
IQ2: Did you play a reporter, a lawyer, and a detective?
IQ3: Were you a German prince who served as an English cavalry general?
Well-guessed, SCAdian!!
As an aside, your DQ of “known for the arts” threw me a bit. I’m not sure what you meant by “as defined by this group.” Since Rupert was at least an amateur artist, arguably he’s not known primarily for the arts, but a “no” answer might still be inaccurate, while a “yes” would certainly be misleading. What’s the accepted standard for answering this question?
Good job, SCAdian!
Yes, congrats, SCAdian!
I try to give a qualified answer under those circumstances, such as “Not best known for the arts” - that is, somewhat known, but it’s not the most important thing about this person, or what he’s remembered for. You can be discreet, cryptic even, without being misleading.
I concur with EH on “Not best known for the arts”.
Some of our players are military historians. I gave up trying to stump them with military people a long time ago.
Correct.
Raymond Burr (Godzilla, King of the Monsters!, Perry Mason, and Ironside).
Fascinating Wikipedia article on him. I only knew him as an outstanding cavalry leader - hadn’t heard about all those other things.
Hmmm… Do the names Nancy Wake or Mush Morton mean anything to any of y’all?
I am N.
Nothing on either name for me.
IQs:
IQ1: Are you and your sister Anne lead singers of the band Heart?
IQ2: Were you Sid Vicious’s girlfriend, possibly killed by him?
IQ3: Did Shane Stant bash you in the upper leg with a truncheon?
The first one is Nigel Somebody, I think, but no idea on the surname so take three DQs.

Not Nancy Kerrigan.
